Ah September – a month that symbolizes many things – the end of summer, the start of the school term, and to many in the Restaurant PR world it hails a month of back to back launches and events. With most journalists, bloggers and social influencers away for the summer, our restaurant clients prefer to launch specific events and restaurants later on in the month of September, therefore ensuring that they will receive the best possible coverage
This year is no exception, with Me:Mo Interactive currently working on four press events – including Japan Centre Panton Street launch event, Chino Latino’s launch of their new Havana Sundowner Masterclasses, Crepeaffaire’s launch of their new indulgent range and Shoryu Ramen’s launch of their new site in Shoreditch to name a few!
Japan Centre launch will see this London stalwart relocating from their current residence in Piccadilly to a new, flagship store down the road in Panton Street. A food haven for all things Japanese, the new store will house an array of Japanese produce, including ceramics, dry goods, fresh sushi and foods, as well as three specialist rooms for tea, miso and sake. The site will also offer guests the chance to dine in with a 100 cover dining room. Me:Mo Interactive have been tasked with running the whole event, including booking entertainment, inviting press and friends of Japan Centre, looking into social takeovers and even booking the coat check. On the night we will be running live social and managing the door, as well as making sure that all guests are being fed and watered – not a difficult task if previous Japan Centre events are anything to go by!
Chino Latino, based on Riverbank and boasting stunning views of The Thames and Houses of Parliament, are banishing the back to school blues with the launch of their new Havana Sundowner Masterclasses. Guests will be able to learn how to make the perfect Mojito whilst sipping on some of the Pan Asian restaurants finest cocktails and enjoy canapés from their award wining kitchen. To add to the Latin feel of the evenings there will also be live Cuban music throughout the night and Me:Mo Interactive will be hosting a selection of press to test out the masterclass themselves.
Crepeaffiare, the UK’s leading Crepe concept, are launching a new range of indulgent crepes – to celebrate the end of the bikini body diet! These delicious crepes will include Reese’s peanut butter pie, Ferrero Rocher extravagance and banana, rum and raisin delight. Me:Mo will be inviting social influencers and bloggers to their Spitalfields branch to celebrate the launch and for them to try out the new range – a tough job but someone has to do it.
Shoryu Ramen, the restaurant group that specializes in authentic Hakata cuisine will be launching their 11th site on Great Eastern Street. The restaurant will offer their signature Hakata tonkotsu ramen, Shoryu buns, cocktails and Gekkeikan Royal Warrant sake. With 40 covers, the interior will feature counter bars, high tables and a theatrical ramen bar where guests can see the chefs at work preparing the ramen. Me:Mo have been tasked with inviting press to dine at the new restaurant and with all of the great press the restaurant has already received it is already shaping up to be a great launch.
So there you have it – after all of that we think we will be in need of a stiff drink!
