This week we celebrated the launch of deli/restaurant Baity Kitchen in Chelsea with a summer garden party. All our hard work paid off. Press, neighbours, friends, family, the odd celebrity was there – the guest list read like a who’s who of Chelsea… We may have been busy chatting in the sunshine, devouring chef Joudie Kalla’s mouth-wateringly delicious Middle Eastern canapés (never have I seen a plate of warm focaccia disappear so fast) and exotic cocktails, but we weren’t too busy to spot Big Brother’s posh boy Ben Duncan hogging the crab lettuce wraps in the corner. Having not had a party bag since sixth grade, we were overjoyed to be packed off home with a goody bag containing cupcakes-in-a-jar, home-made jams and marmalade, teabags too pretty to use and sparkling wines.
