I know a thing or two about the world of internet dating. And I really do mean a thing or two, as I actually only went on three dates before I found the woman whom I hope to spend my life with, who was date number two. Mine is, so far at least, a very happy tale ; one which I hope won’t ever end. Though it obviously doesn’t work out that way for most digital daters.
A year or so ago, when I was venturing out into the world of online matchmaking, I wrote a piece on the clichés that abound on so many of the dating sites : Tinder has put an end to the ubiquitous and meaningless lists of things people like. Late last year the BBC got in touch as they had found my blog entries on the subject and interviewed me for this piece which you can read here.
