Sakagura, Heddon Street

Representing a stylish and intimate dining destination for Londoners, serving exquisite yet accessible Japanese cuisine, Sakagura is the first joint venture between the Japan Centre Group; sake Royal Warrant holders – Gekkeikan; Japanese plum wine brand Choya; the Toridoll Corporation and a two-Michelin star Japanese restaurant for seasonal collaborations.

Launched this March 2017, their three-course bottomless brunch menu is served every weekend 12-3pm alongside limitless house wine, bubbles or Japanese bloody Mary. Not your typical brunch offering, highlights include freshly prepared Otsumami Gozen: edamame, maki sushi, sashimi, assorted tempura and chicken karaage with salad; salmon teriyaki, nigiri sushi and nasu dengaku. The truly unique offering has been created by executive chef, Kanji Furukawa (Shoryu Ramen), Head Chef, Jin Yackshin (Gordon Ramsey Group) and on-site sommelier, Natsuki Kikuya (founder of The Museum of Sake), to pair the best dishes with a complimentary sake.

Florentine, Southbank

Freshly opened all-day dining restaurant and bar concept, Florentine, certainly know how to cook their eggs. Their all day, eggs-any-way menu plays host to the alternative Full English: an opportunity for six people to take on the King of the egg family, The Ostrich Egg. This unique dish includes an entire egg fried or scrambled accompanied with generous helpings of Portobello mushrooms, heritage tomatoes, streaky bacon, Cumberland sausages and black pudding. Open daily for brunch, Florentine serves a range of international dishes, from small plates to larger sharing dishes and freshly-made flat breads baked in the feature bread oven. The bar offers a live music programme, British bubbles, craft beers and superfood cocktails.

Hungry Donkey, Spitalfields

Located an olive pit’s throw away from Commercial Street and famed Petticoat Lane Market, Hungry Donkey serves up gorgeous taverna-style Greek cuisine on its very own modern taverna. With seriously good Greek coffee, or the famous Greek Fredo (iced coffees) for the summer months, the restaurant has an All-Day Breakfast offering with dishes including Strapatsada (eggs scrambled with fresh tomato, Cretan misithra cheese, basil and olive oil) The Hungry Donkey (eggs sunny side-up, Greek sausage, mushrooms and peppers on grilled sourdough bread) and a Cheese Pita Toastie (with graver and feta cheese, tomato and sumac).

On the pastries menu there are a selection of Filo Pastry Pies including Spanakopita (spinach pie), Tiropita (cheese pie) and Bougatsa (sweet custard pie).
