Green shoots, brighter days and longer evenings can only mean one thing; winter is over and Spring is here.
Argentine steakhouse CAU in St Katherine’s Dock is celebrating the start of the season with the launch of its simple, fresh all-day a la carte menu, available from 18th April – showcasing the exotic influences of the area as well as a host of CAU’s own home-made cocktail creations.
EAT & DRINK
Take in a selection of small plates to start, served on brightly-coloured Spring-inspired crockery. Mix ‘n’ match with Pollo de Chicarron – crisp soy-marinated thighs & wings with smoky aioli, Yerba-smoked beef – the Argentinian way and Pork Belly Tempura with CAUchup.
Move through to the mains and feast your eyes on the star of the show: Aberdeen Angus grass-fed beef, aged for a minimum of 30-days and cut to order. Opt for other CAU classics such as homemade sandwiches served on jalapeno bread; coal-grilled burger served on wood-baked brioche or a lighter salad option of wild rice superfood or hot smoked salmon.
Raise a glass to Spring! Alongside the extensive list of CAU’s own brand wines, beers, ciders and smoothies will feature the infamous Argentinian wine-based drink, Salta Clericot as well as a range of colourful South American-inspired cocktails, guaranteed to quench your thirst!
CAU-lypso – a tropical beauty made with a blend of rums, Sette Vie amaretto, passion fruit and pineapple.
Patagonian Mule – a fiery mix of vodka, Fernet Branca, ginger beer, lime and apple.
Matcha Green Martini – Portobello gin, matcha green tea syrup, green tea, lemon juice, egg white & sugar.
Where The Wild Things Are – Gentleman Badger sloe gin, Portobello Road gin, forest berries and ginger ale.
Located just minutes from the iconic Tower of London, take full advantage of the chic al fresco terraced decking of the popular venue offering a sun-soaked oasis, putting a spring in your step for any occasion from a birthday celebration, a leisurely ladies lunch affair or an evening entertaining clients.
This might be as close as you’re going to be to the sunny shores of South America this year so take advantage of what’s on your doorstep and let Spring come to you.
