While the late summer months in London might seem quiet to most in the food PR world – here at Me:Mo it was still all systems go with the press team securing a whole host of excellent press coverage. Below are a few highlights:

 

Japanese ramen restaurant group Shoryu created a series of ‘how to videos’ including how to make the perfect rice and savory Japanese pancakes which were featured exclusively on Evening Standard. With five sites in London, Shoryu also received coverage in Emerald Street, Olive, The FT, Sheer Luxe as well as a cover interview with COO Emmett Loughran in The Caterer.

 

Ichiryu Udon, the sister restaurant to Shoryu Ramen and located on New Oxford Street, launched a new menu created by Executive Chef Kanji Furukawa. Me:Mo invited a selection of press down to the restaurant review and coverage included pieces in London Live, Guardian, London on the Inside and London Unattached.

 

August also saw the second year of #CAUnival – a month long campaign celebrating friendship and sharing across all CAU restaurants. The sister restaurant to Gaucho, the campaign saw the restaurant group team up with Action Against Hunger and DJ BBQ, the latter of whom created a special #CAUnival burger with proceeds going towards Action Against Hunger. The burger was available in all 21 restaurants, which resulted in a wealth of regional press coverage including Liverpool Echo, Bristol Post, Surrey Mirror, Wilmslow Guardian, Cambridge News, Manchester Confidential and Harrogate Advertiser. #CAUnival also received excellent national coverage in Hot Dinners, Foodism, Mr Hyde, Virgin Radio and Your Media to name a few. Me:Mo also created a recipe video with DJ BBQ, which was featured on Jamie Oliver’s Food Tube channel.

 

Michelin starred Galvin at Windows located on 28th floor of London Hilton on Park Lane launched their annual Pay What You Like Menu, which sees guests at the restaurant pre order a selected menu and then pay what they feel it is worth. Running throughout the month of August press coverage included Hot Dinners, Big Hospitality and LBC London Radio.
