On Tuesday 6th December, the famous and long-standing music venue, the Half Moon in Putney, re-opened its doors to press, family and friends. Now under the ownership of the Geronimo Inns pub group, the venue has been done-up, and they done good – former punters, and performers such as The Rolling Stones, The Who and U2, would be delighted with Geronimo Inns’ work on the place – it really is a charming venue. It’s a celebration of British; local Ales such as Adnams Old Ale, “Beatles” embroidered arm chairs, log fires – a pub to be proud of.

We arrived, and Geronimo welcomed us all with open arms (bar), and delicious food – Now dreaming of those lovely vegetarian beef wellingtons, fancy sausage rolls, and the little chocolate and orange brownies, dipped in cream – it was tray after tray of tiny, tasty bites. After we had all warmed up a bit, the party got started; Jӓgermeister shots were being handed out left, right and centre (I didn’t have a choice!), The Jones Gang took to the stage, Vic Reeves took to the mic (yes, he was actually singing), and guests took to the dance floor (oh, the shapes that were thrown), and well, the rest is history…

Geronimo, you’ve done it again. A great venue and a really, really great evening. I’m sure the Half Moon will see plenty more…
