Iconic American restaurant Jackson + Rye celebrate 4th July by declaring the Great State of Jackson + Rye, the 51st State
Anglo American restaurant group Jackson + Rye are celebrating their departure from the UK and their new status as the 51st State of America – the Great State of Jackson + Rye – with a series of parties at each of its six restaurants and an exclusive 4th July menu.
During the lead up to the celebration, Jackson + Rye will be calling on its social media followers to help shape their new state. Users can vote as to who should be the inaugural Governor – a Hollywood showdown between actor Samuel L Jackson and film director Peter Jackson – to what the state anthem should be. They will also be appointing one lucky diner to be ‘The Secretary of Food’ where the winner will receive 51 free meals for a year.
The Great State of Jackson + Rye has also created a bespoke menu and cocktail to celebrate their new status. Available in all restaurants, the menu will run from 3rd to 7th July and will include American classics such as smoked St. Louis ribs – Cajun vein-end steak or backyard chicken with sides of house slaw, triple cooked fries, chargrilled cauliflower and baked sweet potato with bacon crumbs.
Dishes can be washed down with a bespoke cocktail specially created for the 4th July – an Orange Mint Julep. Jackson + Rye is known for serving up delicious home-cooked American food and their 4th July menu will not disappoint.
Open for breakfast until late, the menu features American classics such as jumbo shrimp, truffled mac & cheese, impressive steaks and BBQ dishes, alongside a selection of American bottled beers, rye whiskeys and carefully selected wines from across the globe.
