This August, Craft Beer fans are in for a treat as Zerodegrees are set to showcase up to eight new limited edition craft beers a month which have been brewed across the four strong craft brewery and restaurant group.
Customers will be able to follow the #FirstSips hashtag to see when each new beer is released at each of the respective sites with the majority of beers being available at all of their restaurants.
Over the coming months Zerodegrees will also be inviting the public to come and sample the new beers, meet the brewers and take a tour of the breweries – those interested should keep a close eye on the Zerodegrees social media channels and look out for the #FirstSips hashtag*.
Each ‘special brew’ is limited to just 1000 litres (around 2000 pints) which is distributed to all four sites so when each beer is running out look out for the #LastDrops hashtag – because when a beer is gone it is gone!
Nick Desai, owner of Zerodegrees says: “We have always brewed a selection of limited edition beers but until now they have only been available from the site at which they were brewed. Now we are going to be able to showcase a much wider selection of really exciting and cutting edge craft beer across the group.”
Each month the resident brewers at each Zerodegrees are experimenting with different styles, brewing techniques and combinations of ingredients to produce, fresh, new and innovative beers and are given free reign to create a selection of limited edition beers.
Some of these will make seasonal appearances, others will be strictly ‘one-offs’ and the really popular ones may become one of the standard Zerodegrees beers available at all sites all the time.
Over the next few weeks the following beers are scheduled and should be available at all of the sites: American Light Lager (ABV 4.2%), a fruity French Saison (ABV 5.9%), a Pioneer Double IPA (ABV 6.9%), and a robust new Single Hop IPA (ABV 6.0%).
More Variety, More Beer & Cans Coming Soon
Over the past few weeks new beer lines have been installed at each of the Zerodegrees sites so that each can now stock not just all of the standard Zerodegrees beers, of which there are 5 but also an additional four limited edition beers at any one time.
Zerodegrees beer will also soon be available in cans. From this August two of the Zerodegrees favourites, the xx and the xx will be available in cans for the very first time. We’ll be sending out further information and samples very soon.
*Event and dates are subject to change but it is planned that there will be one event per month at each site in which customers will be able to sample, for free, the #FirstSips of one of the limited edition beers.
Notes to Editors:
Zerodegrees, A Little History
Dipam Patel and Nick Desai, opened the first site together in Blackheath in 2000. They were amongst a handful of fresh beer breweries when craft beer and microbreweries were still a minor concern within the industry. Dipam with his passion for freshly brewed beer and Nick, with a love for wood fired pizza coupled with his experience of running a chain of Pizza Express franchise sites with his father, joined forces to create what is now a wholly family run business that’s been growing steadily ever since. Today the group operate microbrewery-cum-restaurants in Blackheath, Reading, Bristol & Cardiff.
Zerodegrees Breweries and Beer
Each Zerodegrees restaurants is home to its own microbrewery, which forms a visually arresting sight for customers. The entire brewing process takes place on site overseen by an attendant brew master who is responsible for the day-to-day operations brewing Zerodegrees five regular beers along with a series of limited edition speciality craft beers.
All Zerodegrees beers are always free from preservatives and additives. The team are committed to producing ‘fresh’ craft beer, which means that the brews are unpasteurised and unfiltered. It’s been a part of the DNA of Zerodegrees from the beginning. Within the restaurants the beer comes direct from the serving tanks meaning only the freshest beer is served. The current range of permanent beers includes a Pilsner, the first beer Zerodegrees brewed, Pale Ale, Wheat Lager, Black Lager and a very popular Mango Beer which started life as a limited edition batch but proved to be such a hit that it has for many years been a permanent brew. Over the years, Zerodegrees beers have received plentiful recognition and won awards from various industry bodies including CAMRA.
