Earlier this week we gathered together a group of social influencers to let them experience the late-night side of Benito’s Hat, the restaurant group dedicated to fresh, authentic Mexican food and drink, in a little something we like to call #BenitosAfterDark. It was a jam-packed evening and no mistake, kicking off with Benito’s famous Margalitres and some tasty little antojitos to keep the wolf from the door. After this guests were treated to a Mexican Masterclass hosted by founder Ben and chef Felipe where they got the inside track on making traditional margaritas, authentic corn tacos and delicious salsa from scratch. With appetites well and truly whetted it was time to move on to Felipe’s taco feast where guests built their own tacos from a huge array of delicious ingredients, something which is served every evening at Benito’s Hat and all day at the weekends. By the time we were finished it was way past bedtime and the place was still rocking, Twitter and Instagram sparkling with pictures of people having fun at #BenitosAfterDark and reaching over a quarter of a million people. Not bad for an evening out.
