Last week was the official launch party of the new Geronimo Inn pub ‘The Oyster Shed.’  With its prime location and views over the River Thames as well as whisky tasting, a beach themed photo booth and oyster shucking, the night was a big success!  However, it was the interactivity during the party that was the big talking point.

The Me:Mo Team created a bespoke Social Media campaign for the launch which aimed at getting as many of the party-goers talking to us online as possible.

Throughout the evening our resident photography whizz Erik ‘papped’ the guests, and uploaded the photos straight up to the Geronimo Facebook page in real time.  Revellers were then given the golden opportunity to ’tag’ themselves in their photo to be entered into a draw to win dinner for four at The Oyster Shed (congrats by the way to Andrew Bracey who will be shucking and tucking in soon!) .

Then came the Twitter action.  Our resident Twitaholic Victoria was sat perched in her Brighton office, ready to receive and respond to the guest’s many a tipsy tweet.  The world of Twitter was set a blaze with photos of fizz, rave reviews, triumphant toilet tweetpics (sounds weird but the loos there are something to marvel at) and plenty of bar banter from our side.  Fuelled by the fact that everyone who mentioned @OysterShed that night would be in the draw to win a Valentines Dinner for 2, we ended up reaching a potential audience of circa 37,000 twitter users!  Now that’s communication for ya!
