The power of organic influencer marketing for Japes

Me:Mo was taken on to manage the re-launch of a Chicago-style pizzeria in Soho – Japes – supporting across press, social media, digital and local marketing a year after the initial opening. The restaurant had experienced a slow first year – the client should have been garnering success from having a unique concept, yet they were not.

With an Insta-worthy menu offering of deep-dish pizzas, Me:Mo focused the initial launch outreach around influencers and video desks to generate both viral and user-generated content across the digital sphere. This was supported by in-house content creation for their social channels (including mid-fi video content) as well as local marketing outreach and digital maintenance.

As a result, Japes saw their business turn around, and after two months were fully booked across weekdays and weekends alike. With feedback received on the door for the first few months of the re-launch, 1 in 3 guests stated they had seen the restaurant on Instagram and 25% of customers were returning.  We built the Instagram following to 10,000 within the first six months through a combination of organic influencer outreach and organic build strategies. Our press and influencer campaign resulted in 70 pieces of coverage within the first three months.
