After his critically acclaimed performance in Othello last year Lenny Henry treads the board again in another Shakespeare role and again one which has got the critics in a spin. ‘The Comedy of Errors’ is a fast-paced and farcical tale of identical twins, neither knowing of the others existence, set in a modern day Ephesus. As you can imagine, hilarity ensues with mix ups and misunderstandings as the brothers confuse the residents of the town. After his turn in the dark and disturbing Othello it’s nice to see Henry going back to his roots, showing off his impeccable comic timing and skill. A raucous evening which will leave everyone with a smile.
