Over at Me:Mo, we love live music and nights out (remember them?!) *almost* as much as we love eating out, so we were excited to hear our friends over at FIGHTBACK Lager are taking their brand to the next level.

Formed in 2018 by three friends over a lunchtime pint in Camden’s Hawley Arms, FIGHTBACK converts the deep connection between beer and live music into a sustainable income for Music Venue Trust (MVT), a UK registered charity which acts to protect, secure and improve grassroots music venues. FIGHTBACK sold over 10,000 pints and 10,000 cans of its first brew, with a donation from every drink sold going to MVT.

With Frank Turner and Fat Boy Slim among its famous fans, FIGHTBACK Lager has launched its crowdfunding campaign, offering music and beer lovers the opportunity to invest in and co-own the start-up beer brand. With the return of live shows and festivals on the horizon, supporters can invest for as little as a round of drinks and share in the beer brand’s growth.

Independent venues face little respite when lockdown ends. The headwinds faced by the sector continue, meaning the work of MVT remains essential for the long haul. Despite the challenges, the grassroots remain defiant. Securing pouring partnerships across the circuit remains FIGHTBACK’S focus.
