As the second national lockdown begins to dwell upon us, it appears that the hospitality industry has begun to adapt to this strange new world. Now, more than ever, restaurants are sourcing out the best restaurant PR in order to save their businesses, consequently resulting in a creative resurgence across the UK hospitality scene.

In light of everything that is taking place in the news, our Me:Mo Press Team have been working harder than ever, collaborating closely with clients in order to secure extensive coverage, taking grasp of the best restaurant PR opportunities to ensure that customers are aware of the changes taking place.

I’m sure by now that most of you would have heard of the novelty DIY meal kits, an idea that was accumulated by the most forward thinking of restaurants back in the previous lockdown, one of these being our fave ramen bar, Shoryu Ramen.  Over the course of the year, these have now become the new norm for ‘eating out’ – customers are able to support their favourite local businesses as well as being able to enjoy professional restaurant-quality food from the comfort of their own home. Who would say no?

As Shoryu Ramen have begun to distribute their DIY kits once again, we have been delighted with the amount of recognition they have received over the past week. Below is a coverage round up, detailing some of the best restaurant PR highlights from the past couple of weeks.

Shekha Vyas rightfully claims in an article published for Eater London that these kits come with ‘everything needed to chase away the winter lockdown gloom’. These restaurant DIY meal kits are certainly proving to be a silver lining in an otherwise unusual situation.

Likewise, Cosmopolitan and Esquire Magazine have both published carefully curated articles outlining the best DIY restaurant delivery kits in the UK right now, both of which include Shoryu Ramen. Abigail Southan writes a lovely review here for Cosmopolitan, whilst also giving recognition to another one of our clients The Japan Centre – the ‘absolute gem’ of a food hall.

The final flourish came from the publication of About Time Magazine’s 5 Best Asian DIY Kits in London where Shoryu Ramen has been shortlisted once again, ranked No.1 on their list.

On another note, we teamed up with Clementina Jackson for a review for Country & Town House outlining Aquavit in the top 25 best brunches in London. Selected for its unusual yet contemporary Nordic brunch menu, Aquavit is certainly one to watch! Think Gravlax and Herring or Eel Benedict for their modern take on a traditional brunch menu.

Despite this extraordinary, time it has been incredibly gratifying to see restaurants adapt themselves to such a unique situation. As the industry are currently now in need of the best restaurant PR more than ever, be sure to get in contact with us and together we can help bring the hospitality industry back to life!
