Obicà Mozzarella Bar has launched an all-new summer menu which takes diners on a decadent gastronomic journey through Italy’s regions, from the verdant, fertile north to the sun-drenched, coastal south. Available from May 17th until mid-October at the Poland Street, Canary Wharf and St Paul’s restaurants, the summer menu features the highest-quality ingredients sourced from hand-picked producers.

At the centre of the menu is a range of mozzarellas, fresh from the green plains of Campania and endowed with the special Protected Designation of Origin label, alongside Stracciatella and Burrata from Puglia in Southern Italy. A selection of small plates have been expertly curated to perfectly match the flavour profiles of the soft, fresh cheeses, and include 24-month air-cured Prosciutto Crudo di Parma DOP (£10); Grilled Octopus with Burrata, Italian gazpacho, toasted breadcrumbs and capers (£10.50) and Bruschetta with Stracciatella, Pan Seared Prawn, Marinated Courgette and Lemon Zest (£11).

To follow, diners can look forward to a selection of fresh, slow-rise dough pizzas such as the Ventricina Del Vastese with Mozzarella di Bufala, Organic Tomato, Mozzarella di Bufala Bites, Spinach Sauce, Taggiasche Olives, Fresh Basil (£17) and Culatta with Mozzarella di Bufala, Lamb’s Lettuce, Crescenza, Yellow Pomodorini a Pacchetelle, Caramelized Apple (£17.50); handmade pastas including Tagliolini with Black Summer Truffle (£18) and Tonnarelli with Mussels, Yellow Pomodorini a Pacchetelle Cream and Toasted Breadcrumbs with Lemon (£16).

In true Italian style, the Secondi follow, and include summery twists on classic Italian favourites such as Vitello Tonnato with Veal, Tuna Sauce, Fried Caperberries, Datterini Tomatoes Confit and Rocket (£19) and the Polpo Burger with Grilled Octopus, Stracciatella, Fried Courgette, Balsamic Vinegar Reduction and Baby Potatoes with Parsley (£22). To finish, alongside the regular menu selection of homemade Dolci, including Tiramisù, and Torta di Capri (flourless chocolate and almond cake with Italian gelato), will be a Coconut Panna Cotta with Caramelised Peach and Vanilla Crumble (£4/£7.50, available in small and regular sizes).

The warm days and long evenings ahead are sure to bring Londoners flocking to Obicà, where they will be greeted by the unmistakably irresistible flavours and convivial atmosphere of Italy.
