Me:Mo Eats… This month, here at London’s top restaurant marketing agency we’re talking crazy Italians and the most talked about view of London.

It’s the untold prerequisite of working in a restaurant marketing agency that you’re a bit of a foodie and here at Me:Mo, that’s certainly the case! If we’re not spending our salaries eating at the hottest new openings or most talked about spots across the city, surely we’d be doing something wrong.

We’ve recently launched our new weekly Me:Mo Eats guide on Insta, where our team feeds in on their favourite new dining locations and we’re here to talk more about it.

To kick things off, earlier this month we visited Ave Mario, the new all singing – all dancing launch from Parisian masterminds, Big Mamma who served up some of London’s biggest pre-pandemic openings, Gloria and Circolo Popolare. More often being recognised as one of London’s most Instagrammable restaurants, with the in-house interior design team Studio Kiki nailing it with inspiration directly drawn from Florence’s famous zebra-striped Duomo Cathedral.

With kitsch levels off the scale – settle in and take yourself back in time. As if you didn’t need anything else to get drooling and dreaming of your weekend tables, to start we dined on prosciutto, antipasti with nocellara olives, anchovies – all served on the finest of tongue and cheek crockery. For mains we feasted on authentic Italian Carbonaro ravioli with oozed egg yolk, with a main sized portion of crab, chilli & parsley linguine. With teams at Ave dressed head to toe in Fiorucci, it’s as much a dining spot as a catwalk and definitely one for the London list.

For our second spot of the month, we travelled south-east of the river to the depths of Peckham to visit, Forza Wine – recently being listed as one of the 28 Coolest Bars in the World Right Now, by Time Out Forza certainly is wine by name, wine by nature. With a strong list of naturally sourced vinos and a small but perfectly formed menu of simple Italian dishes – almost carved specifically for mate dates and sharing!

The menu is largely seasonal and amongst our favourite Forza dishes we gorged on their classic grilled flatbread topped with a tomato beef ragu; an anchovy and Taleggio cheese toastie; burnt courgette greens on a bed of ricotta; polenta chips with glazed pink onions; finishing things off with the soft serve dessert you didn’t know you needed. Sitting on the roof of the Market building on Rye Lane, if you go for nothing go for the view and thank us later.

Head to our Instagram highlights to see more from the above and book your tables now, just in time for the long bank holiday weekend!
