Marking the latest chapter in its story, Alley Cats, the cult New York-style pizzeria known for its 14-inch artisan pies and neighbourhood charm, opened its third restaurant in Westbourne Grove on 15 August 2025. Building on the success of its Marylebone and Chelsea locations, the new venue brings together Southern Italian ingredients and bold Manhattan influence in one of West London’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
The first Alley Cats launched in Marylebone, quickly followed by Chelsea, establishing the brand as a destination for quality ingredients and confident flavour combinations. The Westbourne Grove opening continues this legacy, offering diners a lively new space anchored by its signature stripped-back aesthetic. Butter-yellow scalloped awnings frame the exterior, while inside, exposed brick, gingham tablecloths, and roaring pizza ovens create a setting that is both nostalgic and contemporary. A private dining room tucked beneath the main floor adds an intimate space for gatherings and celebrations.
To celebrate the launch, Head Chef Francesco Macri introduced a selection of Americana-inspired dishes to complement the core menu. New additions included the spicy Maple BBQ Chicken Pizza, a refreshing Caesar Salad, and a Pizza Fritta dough pillow filled with cheesy spinach. These joined established favourites such as the Vodka Sauce Pizza and the Pepperoni with Jalapeños and Hot Honey, cementing the brand’s reputation for marrying Italian craft with New York-style boldness.
The drinks programme also expanded for the occasion, with cocktails designed to complement the food offering. Highlights included The Dark Alley, a Negroni infused for 48 hours with Arabica coffee; the bergamot and elderflower Bloom Spritz; and The Cat’s Classics, a house take on the iconic Negroni. Alongside these, Alley Cats introduced its signature Bones Brew lager, developed in collaboration with Coalition Brewery, as well as YEW, the naturally flavoured sparkling water from Jesse Jenkins (@adip_food), and the ever-popular Mexican Coca Cola.
From inventive pizzas to bold cocktails, Alley Cats’ Westbourne Grove opening reaffirmed the brand’s identity: rooted in Southern Italian tradition, elevated with New York confidence, and designed to bring people together.
