The Best London Restaurants For Winter Warmers

Although the days are gradually getting longer, summer still feels far away. At Me:Mo, we’re biding our time and celebrating the best London restaurant winter warmer dishes which have kept us going through yet another lockdown. Through it all for the last year food has kept us going, especially dishes from some of the best London restaurants who have continued to provide us with our favourite dishes and some new creations despite the many challenges they have faced!

Bao

First, one of the best London Restaurants, Bao. Pillowy bao buns can cheer anyone up on a grey day, and now with nationwide delivery of their DIY kits we will be ordering these again and again. We are particularly loving their new collab with Black Axe Mangal.

Breakfast En Bread

Comfort food like no other looks like Breakfast En Bread from The Barge House in Hackney. A whole breakfast (or brunch, or lunch, or dinner – we ain’t judging!) stuffed inside a warm loaf of artisan sourdough in five different flavours, including The Orginal, Filled with Barge House Banger, smoked bacon, slow-roasted tomato, leeks, oyster mushrooms, spinach, sprinkled with cheese and topped with a free-range egg… need we say more?

Comfort and Joy by Jikoni

Renowned Marylebone restaurant Jikoni, launched their sister brand, Comfort and Joy during the lockdown and are providing Londoners with five different boxes. Inspired by cultures around the world, the boxes are all vegetarian or vegan and are packed with flavours and spices to liven up a winter night in lockdown.

Bar Douro

With international travel still a far distant memory, we are mentally transporting ourselves to hotter climes and another best London restaurant’s offering, Portuguese wine bar, Bar Douro, is the place to start. Their new restaurant kits are packed with delicious dishes including their famous Bacalhau à Brás (salt cod hash) and Braised lamb shank with garlic punched potatoes.

Shoryu Ramen

Finally, for a truly warming bowl of goodness, Shoryu Ramen has been providing the nation with their DIY ramen kits turning everyone into a ramen master from the comfort of their own kitchens.  Our favourites include the Shoryu Piri Piri Tonkotsu Ramen kits with Char siu bbq pork belly and Shoryu spicy sauce.
