Finding somewhere good to eat can be a daunting task, especially when it involves broke friends, gluten-free mothers and picky little sisters. With a never-ending list of new restaurants and around 40,000 to choose from, London offers some of the best eats across the globe. From Italian to Indian and everything in between, here are some of our favourite picks of 2022 that are dominating the game and will be sure to keep everyone happy;

Fallow

Pop up, turned full-blown establishment, Fallow offers one of a kind delicious, sustainable dining in the heart of central London. They pride themself on creative cooking with a sustainable edge, which truly sets them apart. They house smoke their own meats and even grow mushrooms in the restaurant basement… it doesn’t get much better than that! With a truly unique menu, this is dining like none other, they offer a selection of snacks, small plates, large plates, breads, and of course desserts… and whilst you may think this sounds like a lot, believe me, this is not a dining experience you want to skimp on.  From deliciously simple corn ribs to their iconic cod’s head and possibly the most delicious burger we’ve ever eaten… we can safely say you will not be left unsatisfied! This is creative cooking at its finest and is one of the most exciting new restaurants we’ve seen, dominating the hospitality scene since opening.

Sabor

If you find yourself in the mood for some authentic Spanish tapas, Sabor hits the jackpot. Tucked away along an old cobbled street behind Oxford Circus, you’ll be quickly transported on a journey through Spain, from tapas bars in Bilbao to catch of the day in San Sebastian – look no further when in need of some delicious Spanish cuisine.

The menu is small, with a few daily specials, and features only the best of the best to choose from. Enjoy from a selection of tapas, from ‘Tomato & Ventresca’, Spanish tomatoes and tuna (not as we know it) served almost drowning in the most delicious olive oil, of course, best soaked up with their warm house bread to ‘Pulpo a Feira’, octopus served sharing style with toothpicks as utensils. This rustic spot is a true gem and well worth a visit, after all, Sabor does mean flavour in Spanish… and it certainly lives up to its name.

Bun house

Cantonese cafe, Bun House serves up some of the most delicious fluffy buns about, this small spot located just off of China Town is the perfect example of craftsmanship at its finest. With a small menu featuring a range of dim sum and a selection of authentic Cantonese small plates, it’s their delicious filled buns that dominate this menu. We particularly love their sticky BBQ pork belly, mixed mushroom buns, and clay pot noodles, but to be honest the whole menu hits the spot. Its cosy, rustic atmosphere makes this eat perfect for a mid-week lunch spot or equally indulgent for a date.
