The Me:Mo Eats round up is here, and if you’re hungry and have an appetite to try something new – we’ve got you covered. We want to share with you some gems we have recently dined in & fallen in love with. Our team have dined at Forza Wine, Elliot’s and La Cave. Here are some of our weekly highlights that are sure to become your new guilty pleasures.

Forza Wine

Forza Wine is the ‘younger, taller and better-looking sibling of Forza Win’ – a rooftop bar and restaurant located in Peckham, South London. Forza is the ideal spot if you are looking for great drinks, snacks and a stunning view of the London skyline. Watch The Shard glow from a distance while you sip on their famous frozen margaritas made with El Rayo tequila. If tequila isn’t your thing – try their Blood Orange Daiquiri made with ELL Rum and blood orange syrup – need we say more?

Snacks at Forza Wine range from grilled chicken thighs with nduja (£9) to our favourite; Burrata, peas and pecorino (£11). But why stop there? Get stuck in and try the whole menu for £110 for a true taste of everything they have to offer.

Elliots

Elliot’s is a must, and the whole team at Me:Mo agrees. Located in the heart of Borough Market & Hackney, this restaurant, bar and also natural wine store is cooking up a seasonal storm using a wood-fired cooking method. Their produce is sourced from independent suppliers and traders in Borough Market and also fishermen & farmers from around the UK and Europe. Elliot’s takes pride in its natural wine selection. The wines are sourced from growers who farm their land organically and /or bio-dynamically with zero or few additives. They have been serving natural wine since 2011, their aim is to show how great & diverse it can be. On the menu, you can find small plates, wood-fired sourdough pizzas and meat from the wood oven. Our favourite dish of the night was the Octopus, preserved lemon, capers, Biber chilli & wild garlic pizza (£14)

Elliot’s is the perfect location to nestle away from the busy-ness of Borough Market and dive into a culinary experience. We highly recommend a date night here.

La Cave

Located in The Hoxton in Holborn this new wine bar and pop-up space is the place to be especially mid-week when they have ‘Orange Wednesdays’ – bring your mate, buy a glass of ‘Orange Wine of the week’ and you’ll get a glass on the house! Available every Wednesday from 5pm. Their current pop-up collab with Four Corners Pizza has been a huge hit, running since December the Detroit style pizza company are based permanently in The Hoxton Barcelona– fresh, chewy and crunchy pizza base topped with Pistachio & mortadella was our top pick. We suggest the Rózsa Petsovits 2020 – Dark Rosé with a fruity rhubarb strudel punch.

La Cave are set for their new adventure with  @chets_ldn  starting on Tuesday 17th May – make sure to book a table to avoid missing out!
