Roti King and Morley’s are joining forces for Bossman Mamak, a one-weekend pop-up landing in Brixton Village from April 9th – 12th. Bringing together Roti King’s Euston beginnings with South London’s most recognisable fried chicken institution, the collaboration sees Malaysian night-market cooking meet Morley’s fried chicken for a short-run menu,shaped by the communities that built both brands.
At the centre of the Bossman Mamak menu are four collaborative dishes;
The collaboration is rooted in a shared celebration of diaspora stories and the power of street food, that built both brands. Roti King has built a loyal following serving Malaysian food to Londoners looking for something authentic, while Morley’s, a family-run business, has been frying up some of London’s best-known chicken for 40 years across 130+ locations. For one weekend, ROTI KING x MORLEY’S brings those worlds together in a menu shaped by the street-food traditions and communities behind each brand.
Sugen Gopal, Founder of Roti King, said, ‘Mamak stalls in Malaysia are where everything comes together – after work, after football, where the night ends or carries on. When I look at Morley’s in London, I see that same energy and sense of community, which makes this feel bigger than just a collaboration. It’s about two food cultures meeting and finding common ground, built on the same community and just told through different flavours.’
‘We’re always looking to push the boundaries of what Morley’s can do while celebrating our South London roots. Seeing our signature chicken paired with Roti King’s legendary flavours is something special, it’s bold, it’s iconic, and it’s exactly how London street food should be’, said Shan Selvendran, Morley’s CEO.
The Roti King x Morley’s pop-up will also feature a limited-edition tote bag and cap, available across the weekend while stocks last.
