As Autumn dawns on us, let us take time to reflect on what has been a buzzing summer for hospitality PR. Summer produce has been inspiring, and restaurants have been popping up here there and everywhere.

This week, the Me:Mo press team have been busy bees, working their magic to create exciting stories as we transition into a new season. Let’s take a look at what our restaurants have been up to, and what the people think.

The best pizza in the UK is vegan!

The National Pizza Awards 2018 took place on 3rd October in London, with 14 finalists competing for the award of National Pizza of the Year. The winning pizza was vegan pizzeria Purezza’s Parmigiana Party, a pizza inspired by an Italian parmigiana dish, using fried aubergines, vegan sausage, and smoked vegan mozzarella. No doubt, this was huge news for the hospitality and PR industry, and was covered in The Independent as well as reviewed in this week’s Timeout. They gave it 4*!

British Food Fortnight

Florentine Restaurant & Bar may not be quintessentially British – their menu is heavily influenced by the flavours of Italy. However, they sure do know how to deliver on the roast front. We invited some influencers down to see this for themselves, and boy were we envious. Have a look at these posts from London food bloggers Radley_Eats and ThinkingFood247. Roast-ess with the most-ess – I think so!

Brunch with a view at Galvin at Windows

If you thought you had completed your brunch bucket list, then think again. Brunch just got a whole lot better with Galvin at Windows brand-new Michelin-star brunch. The winning dish has to be Eggs Deluxe with tempura lobster tail, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. London Unattached seemed to agree in their glowing review!

Gudetama eat your heart out

The cult Japanese cartoon character was the star of a two-week pop-up at the Oxford branch of Shoryu Ramen. If you’re a fan, head to Japan Centre on Panton Street, where they sell all the merchandise. If you have no clue what we are on about, you can read more about it in Londonist, Oxford Mail, and in a blog from That Oxford Girl.

Another successful week at the HQ of Me:Mo PR – hospitality news brought to you weekly. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for more stories, coming your way soon.
