Are you heading up to London this weekend and you can’t possibly decide where to go? We don’t blame you! With so many options to choose from, we understand how difficult it can be to settle on a place to spend your summer evening. But fear not, as our team has dined at some of London’s best restaurants this week including Piccolino, Roka, and Harrods, and we can’t wait to share them with you.

Piccolino Heddon Street

Located on one of London’s most famous streets, Piccolino Heddon Street offers the ultimate dining experience. From an open kitchen plan, large dining area with chandeliers, to an extensive terrace area at the front of the restaurant, the décor alone ensures that you are set to have an unforgettable evening. The dishes truly reflect Italy’s diverse cooking and are made using nothing but the best quality ingredients, leaving your tastebuds dancing with pure classic Italian flavours.

We recommend starting with the classic Bruschetta Al Pomodoro; toasted ciabatta topped with heritage tomatoes, garlic, and basil – so refreshing! With so many options to choose from why only choose one! Get a taste of the ocean with their Cozze Con Pomodoro made using Scottish rope grown mussels, San Marzano tomatoes, chilli, and garlic, topped with fresh basil and served with freshly toasted ciabatta. And if your mouths aren’t watering yet wait until we get onto mains! Their Tagliatelle Bolognese, made with slow cooked beef ragù, tomato and fresh basil, is bursting with flavour. And you cannot visit Piccolino Heddon Street without trying one of their freshly made pizzas cooked by the internationally acclaimed pizza MasterChef, Davide. Word on the street is that their pizza oven was handmade in Italy and shipped over to its new home on Heddon Street. Instantly, Davide fell in love, and thought it was only suiting to name her Sofia. We recommend their Burrata pizza because who doesn’t love burrata?!

Roka

Located on North Audley Street, award winning luxury restaurant Roka bring its unique style of contemporary Japanese robatayaki cuisine to the heart of Mayfair. From its sophisticated interior, including a chef’s counter where you can watch flavourful masterpieces come to life, to their attentive staff and impeccable dishes, your London evening is set to be complete after a trip to Roka.

The menu is extensive, and we recommend ordering lots of different plates and sharing with those you love to get the full Roka experience. Why not start with some Pikara Edamame whilst you begin looking through the menu. Moving onto starters, we recommend the Goma Fuumi No Horenso Salada, which is composed of spinach leaves topped with a sesame dressing. The black tiger prawn tempura, Kurunma-ebi, is a MUST, and their crushed wasabi pea and chilli mayonnaise will leave you begging for more. Of course, it would be a crime to not order from the sushi and sashimi section of the menu. With so many to choose from, its hard not to pick them all! But if we had to choose, our favourite would definitely be the Age Watari Gani Maki roll, made up of soft shell crab, cucumber, and kimchi topped with chilli mayonnaise. Finally, treat yourself to their delectable sticky toffee pudding with miso caramel and twig tea ice cream.

Harrods – The Dining Hall

Located directly next to Knightsbridge underground station, Harrods dining hall is the perfect place to visit when you’re quite unsure what it is you’re craving. Whether you are celebrating, or just popping into London for a shopping trip, this is soon to become a lifetime family favourite. Home to six different restaurants, each offering a diverse selection of dishes prepared with premium ingredients, there is something for everyone. We chose to dine at The Grill, the perfect destination for all our meat lovers out there! We recommend sitting at the chefs table to watch the highly trained and experienced chefs prepare your dishes right before your eyes.

We ordered the USA Prime ribeye, medium rare, with the Truffle Fries and Creamed Spinach. If you’re looking for the best steak in London, we might’ve just found it! If you’re not feeling up for beef, they’ll have you falling in love with their Half Pakington Farm free range Rotisserie Chicken. Order this with their Mash Potato for a hearty and warming meal.

That’s it for today, but if you’d like to find out about the new restaurants taking over London or which hotspot we try out next, follow our Instagram here or get in touch to see how you can take your business to the next level.
