Set within the lush gardens of Hotel Villa Bologna, this family-run Italian restaurant and bar has long been one of Malta’s best-kept secrets. Following its relaunch in February 2025, the brand needed to make a splash, cutting through the noise to attract both locals and discerning visitors.
Over Q2, MeMo implemented a digital strategy designed to build awareness, drive discovery, and turn interest into action. Through a blend of evergreen Paid Social campaigns and tactical bookings activity, Villa Bologna quickly established itself as a must-visit destination on the Maltese dining map.
Awareness-led campaigns targeted locals and visiting tourists using precise geo and interest signals, driving strong click-throughs to both Instagram and the website. In parallel, we rolled out performance-driven bookings campaigns to convert attention into reservations across key dayparts.
The result was a seamless integration of storytelling and strategy, creative that mirrored the brand’s organic tone, paired with messaging that clearly sold the experience. The outcome: a return on ad spend 3.5x higher than our initial benchmark, proving that with the right digital approach, even a hidden gem can become a national favourite.
